Bruichladdich Octomore 15.1 Edition Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky hails from Islay, Scotland, and showcases the powerful influence of peat on single malt whisky. Distilled in 2018 from Scottish Mainland Concerto barley, this expression is aged for five years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-bourbon casks. With a phenol level of 108.2 PPM and an alcohol content of 59.1% ABV, it embodies the signature boldness of the Octomore series.
On the nose, the whisky opens with the rich aromas of caramel and citrus, layered with Octomore’s characteristic earthy peat smoke. Spicy aniseed, vanilla custard, and tropical fruits like mango and banana weave through the smoke, offering balance and complexity. A touch of ginger and floral notes add depth, enhancing the sweet malt profile and preparing the palate for a bold tasting experience.
The palate reveals an intense heat, quickly softened by sweet malt and earthy smoke. The fruity notes of apricot jam and tropical mango cut through the robust peat, while vanilla custard and toffee provide a creamy, rounded finish. A dash of water can unlock the marine notes and amplify the whisky’s smoke, leaving a lingering impression of charred oak, vanilla, and fresh coastal crispness. Best enjoyed neat, with water, or over ice for a more mellowed experience.

Shipping:
All shipments require a signature from an adult twenty-one (21) years of age or older per federal law. Couriers will require a proof of ID before delivery. If an adult is unavailable to sign for the package, it may be returned. No exception can be made.
Orders are processed and shipped from the ShopBourbon facility Monday through Friday. Please allow up to three (3) business days to process shipping orders.
Ground shipping times are best estimates, but are not guaranteed by the shipping couriers.
Orders that are refused or returned after three (3) delivery attempts shall be refunded for the value of the product only. Shipping charges are not refundable and returned orders incur a secondary shipping charge to cover the return shipping fee.
Wine and other delicate products may be weather sensitive. Shipment of these items may be delayed at the ShopBourbon team's discretion to prevent heat damage or freezing. ShopBourbon is not responsible for damaged wines due to ground services.
