Caballito Cerrero Azul Reposado hails from Jalisco, Mexico, specifically the Tequila Valley within the Los Valles region. Crafted at NOM 1114, this destilado de agave represents a proud legacy untethered from modern tequila regulations, emphasizing pure, artisanal production methods. It is made entirely from Tequilana Weber agave grown in the region, which is slow-cooked in stone and brick ovens before being milled with a roller. Fermentation takes place in open-air stainless steel tanks using natural spring water, with no agave fibers left in the mix, resulting in a clean and vibrant profile.
The spirit undergoes double distillation in copper and stainless-steel pots, then rests in used bourbon barrels for a nuanced maturation. Despite its "reposado" designation, it maintains a bold character thanks to its high 46% ABV. On the nose, it opens with aromas of cooked agave, oak, and subtle vanilla. Due to state regulations, ShopBourbon is only able to accept alcohol returns in the event that the product is spoiled. In the event that the bottle sustains major damage during transit, ShopBourbon will refund or replace the product. Shipping:
All shipments require a signature from an adult twenty-one (21) years of age or older per federal law. Couriers will require a proof of ID before delivery. If an adult is unavailable to sign for the package, it may be returned. No exception can be made.
Orders are processed and shipped from the ShopBourbon facility Monday through Friday. Please allow up to three (3) business days to process shipping orders.
Ground shipping times are best estimates, but are not guaranteed by the shipping couriers.
Orders that are refused or returned after three (3) delivery attempts shall be refunded for the value of the product only. Shipping charges are not refundable and returned orders incur a secondary shipping charge to cover the return shipping fee.
Wine and other delicate products may be weather sensitive. Shipment of these items may be delayed at the ShopBourbon team's discretion to prevent heat damage or freezing. ShopBourbon is not responsible for damaged wines due to ground services.
