Kareen Malbec 2021 is a single-vineyard expression from the Mokelumne River AVA in Lodi, California, a region celebrated for its hot days, cool nights, and river-cooled microclimates. These growing conditions allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in a wine that balances vibrant fruit with natural acidity. This first vintage showcases the essence of Lodi's terroir through a careful 20-month aging process in new French oak.
The wine opens with an elegant bouquet of ripe cherry and cranberry, layered with subtle floral and earthy tones. On the palate, it delivers a silky blend of red fruit and cornelian cherry, supported by the warmth of vanilla and caramel from oak toasting. The result is a rich yet refined Malbec with soft tannins and a long, expressive finish that evolves with every sip.
At 13.5% alcohol, Kareen Malbec 2021 presents a mature profile that remains approachable and balanced. Best enjoyed slightly below room temperature, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats, aged cheeses, or simply on its own as a statement pour. Due to state regulations, ShopBourbon is only able to accept alcohol returns in the event that the product is spoiled. In the event that the bottle sustains major damage during transit, ShopBourbon will refund or replace the product. Shipping:
All shipments require a signature from an adult twenty-one (21) years of age or older per federal law. Couriers will require a proof of ID before delivery. If an adult is unavailable to sign for the package, it may be returned. No exception can be made.
Orders are processed and shipped from the ShopBourbon facility Monday through Friday. Please allow up to three (3) business days to process shipping orders.
Ground shipping times are best estimates, but are not guaranteed by the shipping couriers.
Orders that are refused or returned after three (3) delivery attempts shall be refunded for the value of the product only. Shipping charges are not refundable and returned orders incur a secondary shipping charge to cover the return shipping fee.
Wine and other delicate products may be weather sensitive. Shipment of these items may be delayed at the ShopBourbon team's discretion to prevent heat damage or freezing. ShopBourbon is not responsible for damaged wines due to ground services.
