Planteray 'OFTD' Overproof Dark Rum is a bold, classic Navy Rum that pays homage to the tradition of high-proof, full-bodied spirits once favored by sailors. A meticulously crafted blend of rums from Barbados, Jamaica, and Guyana, this expression is the result of extensive research by award-winning cellar master Alexandre Gabriel, who collaborated with seasoned rum experts to create this powerful and flavorful rum. It is bottled at 69% ABV, delivering a strong, intense profile reminiscent of the Royal Navy's historical overproof style.
The rum features a rich combination of molasses-based rums, each with unique fermentation and distillation methods that contribute to its complexity. The Barbados rum undergoes a 72-hour fermentation, using a blend of twin column and pot still distillation, while Jamaica's 2-week fermentation, coupled with pot still distillation, provides deep, smoky notes. The Guyanese rum, fermented for a week and distilled using the renowned Port Mourant pot still, adds layers of rich, dark sugarcane flavor, enhancing the rum’s depth.

Returns:
Due to state regulations, ShopBourbon is only able to accept alcohol returns in the event that the product is spoiled. In the event that the bottle sustains major damage during transit, ShopBourbon will refund or replace the product. Please reach out to hello@ShopBourbon.com regarding any damaged items and include photos of the damaged product and packaging.

Shipping:
All shipments require a signature from an adult twenty-one (21) years of age or older per federal law. Couriers will require a proof of ID before delivery. If an adult is unavailable to sign for the package, it may be returned. No exception can be made.
Orders are processed and shipped from the ShopBourbon facility Monday through Friday. Please allow up to three (3) business days to process shipping orders.
Ground shipping times are best estimates, but are not guaranteed by the shipping couriers.
Orders that are refused or returned after three (3) delivery attempts shall be refunded for the value of the product only. Shipping charges are not refundable and returned orders incur a secondary shipping charge to cover the return shipping fee.
Wine and other delicate products may be weather sensitive. Shipment of these items may be delayed at the ShopBourbon team's discretion to prevent heat damage or freezing. ShopBourbon is not responsible for damaged wines due to ground services.
